Clarfying use of in-app features

0 votes
Hi,

I played here a few months ago and enjoyed it; now I have time to play again and want to be sure I'm doing it right.

I very much want to adhere to community standards, and definitely understand that things like anagram finders and the "Vision" function in the WWF app are not allowed.

But, even after looking around on the site for quite a while, I'm still a little confused about the policy regarding other features in the WWF app. The rules say it's "just you and the WWF app," but the app includes (or can include) tile count, word-o-meter, and the thing that shows you the score you would get for a word as you lay it on the board. I'm happy to turn them off if that's the rule, but if everyone's using them, I'd like to as well!

Thanks for any clarification that might be available, and I look forward to some more good games.

The "Vision" feature is definitely not allowed on our site. Since a player could manually keep track of the tiles available I would say that the tile count would be ok. The Word-o-meter is out. We encourage all players to just use their brains but as you know it is very difficult to monitor. We just want everyone to have fun and enjoy playing players from all over the world.
