How do I exit a tournament?

0 votes

I joined the monthly tournament but hadn't read the specifications. THEN when I read the rules, time limits, three games per set, etc, I realized I can not commit during the 4th of July weekend holiday.  So after my move, I sent a message via CHAT to my opponent to let them know my delemna. (Screenshot of chat message here)

My opponent didn't respond and played their turn. So I figured they wanted to finish the game, but no move has been made in 11 hours.

Now I can't opt out because it's not my turn.

what should I do?

My game is played on an  ipad that only uses wi-fi.

If you do nothing then your opponent will claim a "Win" by "Forfeit" after 24 hours of no play.

Sorry you can't play but understand this is a holiday weekend.

oh, okay, even though it's their turn, I should just do nothing and the game will automatically forfeit.

How do I  uncheck the 'opt in' check mark of the Monthly Tournament?

The best way to get out quickly is to lose quickly.

If your opponent hasn't bother to play in 24 hours then the dilemma is, "Who claims the forfeit?"

Worst part is you had a healthy lead.
