Why is the daily winner based on percentage?

0 votes
It seems the daily winner is always going to be the player that gets the easiest draw in their first 20 games and then goes inactive the rest of the month. January's daily is essentially over on the 24th because even if the #2 player was to win 8 out of 8 games they would only end up winning 86% of their games and get 25 wins, losing even though they won 7 more games than the leader.

If this was based on total wins it would encourage the leaders to keep playing.  Or raise the minimum games to 25.  Just my 2 cents.....

Each month, after the first four games, the system pairs players that have the same ranking to keep the games fair. So the first 20 games are NOT easy draws as 16 of them have been against players with the same percentage of wins. We have two winners each month, one at 20 games and one at 25+ games.
