Am I wrong about this? Game is reported, but still bugs me

0 votes
My opponent resigned 8 hours into the game because "they have a life and can't keep waiting for my movies". I started game and then 3 or 4 hours later they played 1st turn. I understood because they were in Australia and I am in US. Then hours later, they resigned because after 3 or 4 turns I had time between moves and didn't communicate it. 1st - it is in my public comment that I play when I can. 2nd - it wasn't like I had many hours between turns I was like 30 to 60 mins 3rd - they have no warning except through their public comment Does this just seem rude? Does this person belong on a site like this? Am I the wrong one? I have been playing WWF for 5 years and been on this site most of that time. I have never been treated this way. Thoughts?

Your public comment is something to the effect of, please be patient with me if I'm slow, my kids come first. Their public comment is, I'm a quick player and expect my opponents to be as well. If they can't be fast, they need to let me know. Taking 30-60 minutes between moves is not slow to me. I think they are being unreasonable.

Thanks. I am frustrated that my comment wasn't good enough for them, but I am being held to their comment. Plus their morning is my afternoon/evening. So I was available when they were sleeping. Why should that be held against me?
